Loren Ubbing, Client Services Specialist

Loren (she/they) is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wayne State University. A graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Loren grew up in the metro Detroit area and is excited to build her counseling career in Michigan. Inspired by her own experiences as a client across all levels of care, she brings empathy, insight, and authenticity to her work.

Loren has a background in customer service and education, along with experience leading groups in a partial hospitalization program. These roles have strengthened her communication skills and deepened her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, she also works the front desk at Affirmations in Ferndale. Loren is committed to helping River’s Bend clients feel safe, seen, and heard throughout their therapeutic journey.
