Alicia Starkey, LLMSW
Alicia Starkey is a Limited License Master of Social Worker (LLMSW). She was born and raised in Metro-Detroit and graduated from Oakland University with her Bachelor of Arts and obtained her Master of Social Work at Northern Michigan University in 2023. She is a proud Native American and works to incorporate culture and strong family ties into her practice. She is active in her community and serves on the Health Board for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.
She is passionate about working with adolescents and has experience working with ages 7-17 at an inpatient level through group, family, and individual services, along with training in parenting styles and parent-child engagement. Her primary methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She is currently working towards her Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC).
