She began her career facilitating individual and group therapy for adolescents at a residential substance abuse facility. She continued her practice within a correctional facility that provided substance abuse treatment.
Upon moving back to Michigan, Ashley provided outpatient therapy as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor while obtaining a master’s degree in professional counseling. After working for several years as a therapist, Ashley realized the undeniable connection between the mind and body. She began nurturing this connection through a daily yoga and meditation practice. Ashley saw the value of educating others in holistic growth and healing, which led to Ashley obtaining a second bachelor’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University in nursing.
Since then, Ashley has worked in various levels of care from hospitals, outpatient clinics, and most recently in a partial hospitalization program. Helping people understand the connection between the mind and body is her passion, which is evident in her therapy and nursing practice.
