Loren Ubbing, Client Services Specialist

Loren (she/they) is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wayne State University. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English but grew up here in the metro-Detroit area and looks forward to eventually working as a counselor in Michigan. She became inspired to work in the mental health field due to her lived experience as a client at all levels of care. Loren has a background in the customer service and education fields as well as experience facilitating groups at a partial hospitalization program, where she has honed her communication skills and enjoyed connecting with different people. She is passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, and you may also find her at the front desk of Affirmations in Ferndale. Loren looks forward to helping River’s Bend clients feel safe, seen, and heard at every stage of their therapeutic journey.
