DR. SABA MAROOF
Dr. Saba Maroof is a board-certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist who enjoys working with patients of all ages. She has a special interest in helping individuals simplify their medication regimens while focusing on effective, balanced treatment. Dr. Maroof specializes in diagnosing and treating ADHD across the lifespan, as well as managing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, and women’s mental health concerns. She believes in a holistic approach that combines medication, therapy, and behavioral strategies when needed.
Dr. Maroof earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Adult Psychiatry at Henry Ford Health System and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Wayne State University/Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Since 2011, she has worked in outpatient settings across Metro Detroit and joined the River’s Bend team in 2015. Dr. Maroof also enjoys teaching, regularly lecturing medical students and residents on topics such as mood and eating disorders, cultural competency, mental health and technology, and ADHD. She actively engages with faith-based communities to raise awareness about mental illness in minority populations.
