Stephanie Beaton, LMSW

Stephanie graduated with a BA in Psychology in 2018 and also received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2019, where she specialized in the area of Interpersonal Practice with a concentration in Mental Health due to her passion for the field. She formerly worked in community mental health, where she worked with clients with a range of backgrounds, symptoms, and identities, of whom she has been honored to advocate for, support, and assist in reaching their goals. She also was a support group facilitator for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, where she has provided support for a wide range of adults who have various diagnoses. Since 2020, she has been in private practice primarily working with adult professionals in the metro Detroit area, with some experience working with adolescents.

Stephanie believes that therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach and having a strong relationship between the client and therapist is crucial in effective treatment. She believes each client is more than their diagnosis and symptoms and wants every client that comes into her office to feel safe, welcomed, and supported in order to work together to meet the client’s individual goals. She specializes in trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD and the neurodivergent spectrum, grief/loss, and providing care for LGBTQ+ individuals and women.
