Intensive Outpatient Counseling
The primary goal of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is to help individuals achieve and maintain abstinence from all mood-altering substances and chemicals. The program focuses on building a strong understanding of the disease and addiction model while developing essential relapse prevention skills. We offer both day and evening program options to accommodate different schedules.
Our IOP also encourages active participation in a 12 Step Program and includes family members and significant others in the recovery process when appropriate. Each session features an educational lecture followed by a group therapy discussion. Sessions run for 3 hours total, with two 1½-hour segments designed to support learning, connection, and healing.
Ambulatory Detoxification
An initial evaluation will determine the appropriateness of this level of care and development of an initial treatment plan. The next step is completion of a complete physical by our Medical Doctor and initiation of detoxification protocol.
Detoxification typically lasts 3–5 days, with clients meeting daily with their doctor and therapist for support and monitoring. After completing this phase, we encourage clients to begin the appropriate level of treatment to continue their recovery journey. We also invite family members and significant others to actively participate in supporting their loved one through detox and ongoing treatment.

Early Recovery Group
This group is for individuals in the early stages of recovery and for those who have completed the intensive phase of treatment.
During this phase, the group takes a deeper look into the issues present in early recovery; repairing relationships, facing consequences, sober life management, and finding a sponsor within the 12 Step program. The program duration is based on individual progress and by client request.
Substance Abuse Education Series
We provide a series comprised of interactive handouts and video presentations to increase client’s knowledge of addiction and the effects of addiction in all facets of life. The series is developed to meet the needs of each client taking into consideration age, previous treatment, and the motivation for completion.
Our Therapy Process
To get started, give us a call at (248) 585-3239 to schedule your initial appointment. We’ll thoughtfully match you with a therapist who fits your needs and current challenges.
During your first session, you’ll begin building a connection with your therapist, sharing background information, and discussing what brought you to counseling. Your therapist will also answer any questions you have about confidentiality, services, and the therapy process. Together, you’ll determine the type of treatment that’s best for you.
If you choose to continue with the therapist, you’ll schedule your next appointment. In that second session, you’ll work together to set meaningful goals and begin your path toward growth and healing.
